Job Objective

The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects with technical and execution difficulty. The Project Manager will lead the team through planning, design, and execute oil/gas facilities projects.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform full cycle scoping, preliminary design, cost estimating, economic analysis, and field development planning.
  • Leads development of project proposals and coordinates submission, clarifications and interfaces processes.
  • Capable of demonstrating effective people skills to interact with clients, service providers, peers and support staff and field personnel.
  • Must be willing and capable of effectively soliciting ideas from all people that are involved in the project to maintain a high degree of efficiency and ownership to meet the goals of the projects.
  • Supervises and approves facility modifications, installation, decommissioning, and other related work as well as monitoring costs.
  • Engage and manage outside engineering and construction support (consultants and/or Engineering firms) on an as-needed basis.
  • Act as liaison for technical and commercial support during contractual negotiations
  • Must be willing and available to travel to field locations on a regular basis, or as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with Westflux policies and practices and applicable codes, recommended practices, and all government regulations.

  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Flexible to manage multiple duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years minimum of engineering experience, including end-to-end engineering, design, estimating, and field project execution.
  • Experienced Project Management skills for capital projects.
  • Strong Leadership experience that can bring cross-functional teams together to deliver the project.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work closely with a broader and diverse team.
  • Experience in the areas of cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling, planning, and contracting projects.
  • Experience in reading and in creating block flow diagrams, P&IDs, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised in achieving set goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special ability to translate complex technical information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce.
  • Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT and Excel). Preferred experience with commonly used industry software, especially process modeling and project management tools.

 

Education Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university or college with a degree in mechanical, chemical or petroleum engineering.
